Photonics is an enabling technology for numerous defence and security applications. It acts as a key components and subsystems of the military's most advanced force-protection, guidance, and communication and visualization systems.
Photonics-based technologies also enhance radar performance, thanks to its features, such as broad bandwidth, low loss transmission, wavelength multiplexing, optical amplification and electromagnetic interference (EMI) immunity.
ADS is focused on carrying out photonics product development and manufacturing services in the area Photonic signal distribution of analog (RF, mmWave) and digital (RS4xx, LVDS). ADS has custom designed photonic products for applications in antenna remoting, VSAT link, phased array radars, optical delay lines with features such as multiplexing, amplification, latency management. In addition, ADS has developed collaborations with OEM companies, delivering custom product solutions from system design through manufactureto on-site installation.
